Last Day of Kindergarten

Today was Leah's last day of kindergarten. Unbelievable! Cannot believe the past year went by so quickly. It was just yesterday that we were dropping Leah off for her first day of preschool.

Leah had a great year and is looking forward to first grade. Couldn't ask for anything more.

Winter Festival Fun

The PTA at Leah's school does a phenomenal job of putting on great family orientated events for the kindergartners. They do not charge a lot, only $8 per child. It included a great dj spinning all the kids' favorites, he also MCd games like a belly crawl contest, hula hooping contest and dance off. They also had milk & cookies, a craft AND professional family portraits. You got a 5x7 and two 3x5s. Can't beat that for 8 bucks.

Oh! And the kids got to wear their pajamas to school. They all loved that theme.

It was the first school activity I've attended since two weeks before the baby was born. It was nice to be back at the school talking to the other moms on the PTA.

Leah had a blast with her classmates.

Kindergarten Update

Today is Day 6 of Leah's first week of Kindergarten. Everything has been going relatively well. Our morning routine needs a little bit of work, as does our evening routine but we are getting there. As my work schedule adjusts a bit we will be in the swing of things.

Day Two at the K Center

Today's fashion choice has been brought to you by David Bowie and his rocker inspiration. Leah was in love with the outfit she put together today.

First Day of Kindergarten Pictures

Leah chose her outfit in about a minute. She just wanted to wear her brown leather boots and didn't care what else.

Kindergarten - Day One

Leah's first day of Kindergarten went well. She was a bit nervous & anxious in the morning, preceding the arrival of her bus, but once the bus came she went on it without incident. We picked her up at her drop-off bus not far from work and she said she had an okay day.

Okay is better than bad so we will take it as a good sign.

I went to the Back to School Night the school hosted and met her new teacher. Nice woman who really seems to enjoy her job.

Picture of Leah from Matt's phone. More pictures to come.

Kindergarten

Leah is officially registered for kindergarten. She has made her 5th birthday party plans and they should be finalized this week.

She is growing up much to my protest.
