Playgrounds for All

Matt had to run some errands today and wanted to stop at Microcenter to pick up some computer related items he needed so we stopped at Eisenhower Park for the afternoon. I was looking forward to finally taking the kids to the new playground that was opened there last Fall. The LATCP- Let All The Children Play Foundation- is responsible for the project. It is a playground fit for all ages and for children of all abilities, perfect for them to play together, a do so safely. After years of Leah being at a school for children with various levels of ability I really appreciated seeing how accessible the playground is for all children.

The playground is set up with different areas depending on the age of the children. There is an area for infants and toddlers, school age children,  and a great obstacle/sensory playground.

Leah took her Razor scooter out for a ride.

Snow Day

Leah had a snow day today and spent it playing the snow. Appropriate. We got another really good dose of snowfall so Louis went out to play with her. He loves the snow just as much as she does.

Fairy Princess

It amazes me how easily Leah finds so much to entertain herself with. While I started on cleaning out the garage, Leah spent the afternoon on the porch making up stories and games with random things like hangers, Christmas decorations, plastic Easter eggs, baskets and random other things. She pulled out part of her fairy costume and threw it on.

Leah at Grandmas

Snapped a few pictures of Leah at her grandparents house. Here she is on their living room carpet playing with her ever growing collection of toys.

Simply Beautiful

Playing with Leah today, she was investigating her bouncy chair. Snapped a few shots of her.
