Just Mad About Disney - Day One

Leah's second trip to Disney was so much fun. The kids counted down the days and when it finally arrived they couldn't wait. Heading down to Disney with their grandparents was all they could talk about all summer long. I think Leah was most excited about going with her little brothers. Leading up to the trip Leah helped me purchase some cute shirts for the boys, as well as packing for the flights to and from Orlando.

The flight went well, as did the bus to Old Key West at the Disney. The villa was amazing and perfect for all of us. The kids couldn't get over it. Leah called the living room sofa bed for herself. After unpacking and unwinding a bit we headed to Hollywood Studios. Leah was most looking forward to the Tower of Terror.

We had a great dinner, saw the Little Mermaid show and Leah rode a few rides. We also stayed for the Fantasmic! We didn't do the other side of the park due to time limits but I think the kids enjoyed it.

Farewell to Summer

In celebration of our last weekend before school starts and the unofficial end to summer we went on our second visit in two days to Tobay Beach.

This time we stuck to the sprinkler park. Leah had a great time running through the park.

Sand, Surf & Sunshine

The meteorologists drove us crazy this past weekend. We had Hurricane Earl setting his sights on Long Island so no one was sure what would happen. As it turned out he didn't make landfall on the island, he lost his strength 100 miles out. The ocean still felt it. It was very windy out but beautiful. We spent the afternoon at Tobay Beach.

Matt with his trusty neat looking for minnows to catch.

We never go over to the ocean side of Tobay but we wanted to see how the surf was after Earl visiting the area. It was pretty rough out in the water.

At first Leah didn't want anything to do with the water, then she started testing it out. She only went in up to her ankles or so. There was a very strong rip tide. You could feel the water pulling you in.

Can you taste it?

Summer is almost here. Right around the corner. We went to our condo pool today and went for a swim.

A Sweet Taste of Summer

A gift for Leah. Pictures from this past Summer. I enjoy scrapbooking but have not had much time for it the last few years. For the time being this is definitely a good alternative. This is one of any photo books I've been working on.

Summer time = Pool Time

The pool is finally open and Leah loves to spend her free time there on the weekends.

Summer Time

Without a doubt the summer is turning out to be the best thing about living where we live. The pool has become Leah's home away from home. She has been swimming every day this week. The park is great and Leah loves playing there. Sitting out on the porch & stoop. Hanging out in the terrace area outside the pool, it really is great this time of year.

We <3 Fair

Leah likes to go to fairs, I like to go fairs, Matt does not like to go. But we all go anyway. Nothing like fatty food, fast rides & petting zoos to make things just right.

Happy faces on the carousel.

Not so happy face on the dragon coaster.

Matt definitely enjoys feeding the animals. He always stays there longer than Leah. He is so good with animals.

Vanilla ice cream - cherry dipped. Followed by...

Leah's first corn dog. She loved it. Deep fried batter & hotdog? After a cone? Probably bad news & more rides.
