Last Minute Valentine's Day Treats

Leah asked me at 8 at bedtime---the night before her Valentine's Day party about Valentines to give to her classmates for their classroom exchange. We'd forgotten all about them. We were all in for the night so I needed to come up with someone- non candy related. I remember seeing a few popcorn crafts recently and found one that worked for her class.

Flipping Around

Leah takes gymnastics for 1 session every year. This year it was right after her ballet class. I know she'd love to take it the whole year but with her competitive dance team schedule it becomes too much for her. Still she enjoyed the classes and looks forward to taking some tumbling specific ones in the future. Louis should be starting in the Spring, he loves to watch Leah and cannot wait to be out there as well.

Finally Some Snow!

Leah has been waiting for snow for the past few months now. After the last two winters this one has been surprisingly mild. Finally we got a decent snowfall. We broke out the snow gear and bundled up, headed out to play.

Leah could play in the snow, no matter how cold it is, for HOURS.

Fancy New Spectacles

Leah picked out a new pair of glasses after her yearly eye check up. Not your everyday kind of specs.

BFFs

Leah and Louis are always together. I keep waiting for that moment where Leah is super annoyed with her brother following her around but instead I see her find other ways to do things with him. If she needs some space she just tells me that she does and that's that. As the oldest of four I know how it is when you just need some time alone. Overall though? She's happy to be with her brothers.

Another New Year!

I love that we stay in with the kids for New Year's Eve. I can't think of a better way to ring in the new year. Baked some cookies and threw together some snacks, watched the New Year's specials. Leah and Gabriel stayed up all night but Louis fell asleep right before midnight.
