O Canada - Day Four - Toronto Zoo

After a few days on the road and lots of sightseeing we made our fourth day an easy one. Our hotel was located about 10 minutes from the Toronto Zoo.

Day Four:
- Toronto Zoo
    - Animals
    - Splashpad

- Head back to the hotel for swimming and night in

This one of the hotter days on our trip. It made for walking through the zoo a bit more stressful than it would normally be but we took our time, made lots of stops and managed to have a good time.

Up until this point in our trip? It had been going really well. Flawless...and then? Our camera dropped...and the lens broke. This left us with our zoom lens which meant I had to go stand 1000 feet :P back in order to get a decent shot.

I didn't manage to snap any photos of the kids in the splashpad at the zoo but it is an amazingly well put together area for kids. Loads of space, tons of sprinklers and slides. If I lived in the area the water play area alone would be worth a membership to the zoo.

The kids enjoyed themselves and Leah ranked the Toronto Zoo at the top of her list of fave zoos. So far she's been to the Bronx Zoo, Central Park Zoo, Queens Zoo, Audubon Zoo in New Orleans and most recently the National Zoo.

We headed back to the hotel and rested for a bit. I did some laundry while the kids watched tv. When I was done Matt took Leah and Louis swimming while I relaxed with Gabriel. We had dinner and had an early night. Just what we needed before our trip to Downtown Toronto the following day.
